Double murder trial starts

The trial of two men accused of double murder begins at Truro Crown court today.

35 year old David Griffiths and 31 year old Brett Flournoy were last seen on June 16th in the car park on the Plymouth side of the Tamar Bridge - they were believed to be heading for the Newquay area.

Their bodies were found a month later inside the van they had been travelling in, which had been buried on farmland near St Austell.

26 year olds Thomas Haigh and Ross Stone are both charged with murder and have pleaded not guilty.
