Devonport-based naval ships due home

Two Plymouth-based war ships are due to return home today after a four month deployment to the mediterranean and the middle east.

Hundreds are expected to welcome home the crews of HMS Sutherland and HMS Albion.

The two have been involved in Operation Cougar - the first deployment of the response force task group (the UK's new maritime quick reaction force).

HMS Sutherland was involved enforcing the UN's arms embargo off the coast of Libya, while HMS Albion led and commanded the first Apache helicopter attack.
