Delays to cycle track plans for Plymbridge woods

It may be several months before a controversial application to create a mountain bike trail around Plymbridge woods is resubmitted by the National Trust.

The Trust withdrew its application earlier this year following protests from locals and issues over where to put the cafe.

They were due to resubmit a plan by the end of May, but now say they hope to do so by the end of the year.

They have already proposed putting the cafe on an existing car park and building some of the mountain bike trails in Cann and Colwell woods instead.

Angela Proctor from the National Trust says they have listened to locals' concerns and have been updating them regularly.

The Friends of Plymbridge woods say they haven't yet given their full support to any of the new proposals as they don't want any mountain bike trails in Plymbridge woods.

They will be holding a further meeting on the issue next month.
