D-Day for Plymouth Argyle, say fans

Today has been described as D-Day by many Argyle fans, as any deal with Bishop International to buy the club has to be signed by the end of the day.

It also has to be approved by the football league.

Without this, the administrator has warned he will talk to alternative rescue groups, but that there may not be enough time for any other deal before the club is liquidated.

Around 20 fans camped outside Home Park for a second night yesterday and say they will stay there until a deal is signed.

They've lit 124 candles to represent each year of the club's history and say they will light the 125th if the deal is signed.

Plymouth businessman James Brent says he's still willing to step in to rescue the club if the deal falls through but only if they have enough time to do so.
