Court rules against anti-incinerator campaigners

A court has ruled that the decision to grant planning permission for an incinerator at Devonport was lawful.

Campaign group Plymwin argued the decision was illegal and were granted a hearing at Cardiff county court today.

The result means MVV can start formal building work at North Yard in the coming weeks.

Plymwin plan to take it to the court of appeal.

The city council say they acknowledge confirmation by the judge that the decision of the Planning Committee in December last year was lawful.
