Plymouth divers Tom Daley and Tonia Couch head to Majorca today for a training camp after they were selected for the British olympic squad.

An appeal has been lodged regarding Tonia though, as she was only chosen for the synchro event and not the individual competition.

Coach Andy Banks has also said he was disappointed that no one communicated with Tonia directly and that it was left to him to break the news.

He admits the appeal may not succeed because the procedure will look at the selection policy and although he disagrees with the decision, performance director Alexei Evangulov is within his rights to make that choice.

Despite winning silver at trials at the weekend, Tonia missed out over Monique Gladding, who came third.
