A Plymouth Labour supporter's praising his leader for sticking up for the military.

Ed Miliband gave his keynote conference speech in Liverpool yesterday afternoon.

He said hard work should be rewarded and highlighted cuts to the armed forces as an example - hundreds of hard working service personnel could lose their jobs.

It's claimed dozens of sailors who worked on Devonport-based HMS Cumberland, which has now been decommissioned, will hear on Friday that they no longer have jobs.

Luke Pollard from the city's Labour branch who was at the party conference says Mr Miliband also highlighted the need to get young people back into work, which is exactly what Plymouth needs.
