Senior management redundancies at Plymouth city council are to be discussed today.

The appointments panel meets to talk about the restructure which was decided on as part of budget savings.

The authority has to save thirty million pounds over the next couple of years and 500 posts are to go.

The local authority says the new management structure hasn't been finalised at this stage and that affected staff will be consulted throughout the process.

This part of the meeting will be held in private.
