Recommendations on whether Plymouth’s constituency boundaries should be changed will be published in the spring.

The government wants to cut the number of MPs from 650 to 600 and to make constituencies of a more similar size.

Under the current proposals a new constituency of Plympton and Tavistock would be created taking in Plymouth’s Moorview ward and Okehampton.

The current Plymouth, Sutton and Devonport seat would take in areas like Wembury and Yealmpton.
