Back James Brent's bid for Argyle, says acting Chairman

Plymouth Argyle's acting chairman has called on all parties with an interest in the football club to support James Brent's bid.

A deal with Mr Brent has been agreed in principle.

Part of his bid involves the city council buying Home Park, which will be discussed by the cabinet on Monday.

There have been rumours that former directors and bidders were planning to submit a new offer as a consortium although the administrators have denied this.

Acting chairman Peter Ridsdale thinks it's too late for new bids now as everyone's had long enough to get a bid together if they were serious about saving the football club. He believes they should now stand aside and support James Brent's bid instead.
