Axed Citybus services are losing over half a million pounds a year

Some of the Plymouth Citybus routes due to be cut are making losses of hundreds of thousands of pounds a year each, according to company bosses.

Five services will be cut in total and changes will be made to others.

It comes after funding cuts to Plymouth's public transport network - and a rise in fuel prices.

Three of the biggest 'loss-making' routes are the 45, which bosses say loses around £50-60,000 a year, and the 46 and 47 which lose the company around £250,000 each per year.

All three of those services will cease from the end of April.
