Argyle supporters' groups meet to discuss formation of new organisation to hold board to account

All the registered Argyle supporter groups will come together today for the first meeting about setting up the Green Army Supervisory Board.

The meeting aims to identify the different groups and individuals that would need to be considered as part of the final set up.

The idea is to give Argyle fans one channel to be able to challenge the club, look into its finances and put the board under scrutiny - at a meeting earlier this year, owner James Brent offered the fans the chance to buy 20% of the club, an offer which is still being considered.

The meeting will be led by David Wheeler from Plymouth university.

Plymouth Argyle face a crucial game against bottom of the table Dagenham and Redbridge today.

The pilgrims are currently fourth from bottom in league two and the next couple of games could be crucial in determining whether they avoid the drop.

Jake Cole and Warren Feeney are fit for selection.

Meanwhile tonight, goalkeeper and assistant manager Romain Larrieu celebrates ten years with the club with a special ball at the Holiday Inn.

There will be music, food and comedy in aid of three charities - The Mustard tree, community action through sport and Jeremiah's Journey, which supports bereaved children.

There are still a few tickets left. For more information visit letestimonial.co.uk
