Argyle fans welcome administrators' invite to new bidders

Plymouth Argyle's fans' trust say they are backing Devon businessman James Brent all the way to buy the club.

The administrator confirmed yesterday that he was talking to other potential bidders, although Bishop International is not out of the frame.

The football league will not make any decision on the club's future until negotiations are concluded.

The fans' trust say they welcome the administrators' decision to talk to other bidders.

But Chris Webb from the Argyle fans' trust believes the Bishop International bid has dragged out the process for far longer than it should have done. He argues the bid with James Brent could have avoided all the turmoil in recent months.

Meanwhile, fans are being encouraged to take part in a green card protest on Saturday at Home Park.

7000 Green cards have been printed and will be held up by supporters at one minute to three tomorrow to express their frustration that a deal still hasn't been done.

Cards are being handed out at the ground from 1:30pm.
