Argyle fans' trust call for urgent summit over administration process

The consortium which hopes to buy Plymouth Argyle is to hold further talks with the city council.

It was revealed yesterday that they have met to discuss possible property development around Home Park.

It followed the news that Truro city chairman Kevin Heaney has been advising the consortium on their plans, although he would not have any financial stake in the club.

He has frequently denied any involvement.

This week, south east councillor Paul Buttivant reiterated his continuing interest in the club and asked for a meeting with Brendan Guilfoyle.

Last night the fans' trust released another statement, saying that they believe Kevin Heaney is fully involved in the bid, even if it is just for development purposes.

Tne trust held an impromptu meeting with Mr Heaney yesterday.

They are now calling for a meeting with all those associated with the administration process and say fans are beginning to lose faith.

They add that the preferred bidder seems to want to hold the city council over a barrel while trying to maintain anonymity.
