Argyle creditors in crucial meeting with administrators later

Plymouth argyle's administrators say they're fairly confident they'll reach an agreement with creditors at their meeting this afternoon.

They'll vote on proposals that would see them paid less than a penny for every pound they're owed.

The club owes creditors millions of pounds but if an agreement is reached, a significant amount of their 16 million pounds debt could be written-off.

Administrators say it will also mean the process of putting a new owner in place can progress in time for the new season.

Lead administrator Brendan Guilfoyle says he's confident the Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) and if not everyone agrees, he does have the option of adjourning the meeting for 14 days.
