Meanwhile Argyle chairman Peter Ridsdale also alleges that his emails were hacked by the News of the World.

He claims that an article in January 2010 while he was chair of Cardiff City, contained information which could only have been obtained by accessing his personal emails.

He says the police were called at the time and that some emails were later returned to him.

However he has no evidence that his phone was accessed.

He is pursuing legal action against the paper.
