Cuts hitting two Devonport ships are "Pure Speculation".

There are concerns over the future of HMS Albion and HMS Bulwark.

The Ministry of Defense has described as "pure speculation" reports the Royal Navy could lose two of its Devonport warships under cost-cutting plans.

It's been claimed HMS Albion and HMS Bulwark could be taken out of service - freeing up crew for the navy's new aircraft carriers, HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales.

Earlier this week, the government announced a one-billion pound support package for the fleet.

Sutton and Devonport MP, Luke Pollard, has told us: "This isn't just a one-off speculation. There have been rumours about further cuts to the Royal Navy for months."
