Looe Saves The Day confirmed the news
As the countdown continues to next week’s Looe Saves the Day festival, the organisers are praising the many individuals and businesses who have come forward to support the community led event.
While the group still needs to raise more money to meet the costs of providing the safety arrangements identified in the event management plan, they are very grateful for the offers of sponsorship which have already been made.
“We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received over the past 10 days, particularly from the local community" said Armand Toms, the Mayor of Looe and one of the directors of the festival. “From donations from individual residents, including a significant anonymous donation, and local businesses, to offers of sponsorship from holiday parks, pubs and restaurants and everything in between – we could not do this without their support and we would like to thank everyone who has contacted us to offer their help.
“There is still time for people to raise money to support the festival – so tell us what you are doing and we will let other people know.“
The main sponsors for the festival so far are :
· Looe Town Council
· Looe Development Trust
· Looe Harbour Commissioners
· East Looe Town Trust

Further acts have also been confirmed for the main stage over the past 24 hours. We are thrilled to announce that Uncle Frank will be headlining on Saturday night. Talented multi instrumentalists Frank Benbini and Naim Cortazzi aka Uncle Frank have worked around the world, performing with the likes of Happy Mondays, Ali Campbell (UB40) , Sinead O’Connor, Suggs (Madness) , Beverly Knight and many, many more.
Also confirmed for Saturday night are The Correspondents. London based singer Mr Bruce and producer Chucks have performed their hi-octane genre-blending dance music at festivals and main stages , quickly established themselves as one of the best live acts in the UK
Discussions over the headline acts for Friday night are expected to be concluded by the end of tomorrow and we will be announcing the details as soon as they are confirmed.
As well as the main stage, more activities are being confirmed for the other areas of the town. Looe is very proud of its Cornish heritage and we are working with Cornish language and heritage organisations to create a special Cornish corner – more details to follow !
