Pensioner killed in Desborough Road incident

    It involved the pedestrian and a motorcycle

    A 79-year-old man from Plymouth has died following a collision with a motorcycle on Desborough Road in Plymouth on Sunday 3 June 2018.

    Police were notified at approximately 12.15pm of the incident between an orange and white KTM 125cc motorcycle and a pedestrian on the single carriageway.

    Emergency services attended and the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

    The rider of the motorcycle also sustained injuries and was conveyed to Derriford Hospital where he was admitted with serious injuries.

    Local officers as well as Officers from the Roads Policing Team, and Serious Collison Investigation Unit attended the scene.
